Please note that the docking cable currently attached to this is the combined power and USB C data cable. For some models of laptop you'll need to buy a replacement cable that splits at the end for when the power and data ports are not next to each other. There's a single screw to remove the base and the docking cable simply plugs in there. I used this for the last few years with an HP zbook 15V and it worked great, please check your model!
